It has been nearly 2 months now mum, dad and I left Italy and finally I have some free time to write about our first stop in FUERTEVENTURA. It is the second largest of Spain’s Canary Islands. It’s known primarily as a holiday destination due to its white-sand beaches and year-round warmth cooled by constant winds. It has been the perfect place for me where “learn” surfing, windsurfing and waterskiing. Just kidding, because I am obviously still learning how to stand up by myself 🙂 Anyway, Fuerteventura can be the right place to start these funny water sports.
During our first month of travel, my family decided to visit mainly the south of the island where local people generally live so we booked a “piso” in Gran Tarajal a small town of fishermen in the Tuineje municipality. Mum and dad want for me to learn the difference between tourism and reality, so they always try to show me both sides of life.
I had lot of fun in Gran Tarajal, where I met heaps of local people always smiling and stopping me to say “Hola Guapa”. Moreover I spent most of my days at the beach watching local kids playing soccer after school.
It has been a wonderful month : I learnt few Spanish words such as”Hola”, “Chica”, “Que linda”, “Hermosa”, “Nina”, “Guapa”; I actually have the impression people in Gran Tarajal loved me :). Least but not last I finally learnt CRAWLING!!! So now I can really go wherever I want!!! 🙂
Now it’s nap time, I hope you will stay tuned to my next post 🙂
